Note:

Daniel Conlon, father of Kathryn Childress, arrived in St. Louis, Calif. in 1855. Conlon owned many mines, owned and operated a freighting business, as well as running a 1000 acre ranch. St. Louis, Calif., which no longer exists, was located in Sierra County near Downieville, Calif. Kathryn Conlon married Henry Childress of Chico, Calif. in 1887.
